SAGA and IFTF host the event

To SAGA and IFTF, Beijing is a natural choice to play host to a grand fur gala. Today China is a key global player in the fur business. It represents a dynamic fur market and has become known as a leader in both consumption of fur garments and production of garments for export. It is an important and ideal site to display the finest in fur styles created by the world’s leading fashion designers.
Just a few years ago, fur experienced a rebirth. Thanks to product development, technical know-how, innovation and a trend to favour luxury, fur has become a fabric of choice for designers and consumers alike. Continually invented and reinvented, fur is enjoying an impressive level of awareness and popularity around the world.

At this year’s fashion presentations, fur was presented as an integral part of fashion, whether on its own in full fur garments, or used in combination with a wide variety of fabrics. The Fur Show Beijing 2002 will be a mirror of modern trends and an inspiring opportunity to witness the finest in designer talent and innovation.

The IFTF is the fur trade’s official uniting body representing 33 national trade organisations and associations from 27 countries world-wide. Through its work, the IFTF seeks to promote an accurate image of today’s fur trade.
